Shannon Lynch Zazulia

M.F.A. in Classical Acting

Visit @shannon_next on Instagram for photos and reflections from the 2020-21 year in the
Shakespeare Theatre Company Academy at George Washington University.

The performances of the Academy’s Reps are the main component of the thesis project for the MFA in Classical Acting. Each summer, classical plays are rehearsed and performed in repertory, allowing actors to put the rigorous MFA training into practice on stage in full productions. The 2021 summer shows were Julius Caesar (directed by Craig Wallace) and The Cherry Orchard (directed by Aaron Posner), performed in July at the Betts Theatre in GW’s University Student Center.

Every spring, the Corcoran School of the Arts & Design at George Washington University presents NEXT, an end-of-year show celebrating the art and scholarship of students in the fields of studio arts, art history, decorative arts and design history, interior architecture, design, dance, theatre, music, and museum studies. For the first time in its history, NEXT 2021 was presented as a virtual exhibition experience.
